Lloyd de L. Ince has over 30 years’ experience in the financial
services industry in Trinidad and the Caribbean. He has become an advocate of financial planning in the
region following his early career with Bank of Commerce and Nationwide Insurance Company. It was later at Maritime Insurance
Company in Trinidad where he developed his financial planning skills. He then branched out on his own establishing The Consulting
Interface Limited to provide independent financial consulting advice to individuals and corporations.
Lloyd has presented seminars and training programmes to a variety of clients
including Neal and Massy Holdings Limited, Sagicor, Republic Bank Limited, First Citizens Bank, T&TEC, A S Bryden &
Sons (Barbados) Limited and BP (Trinidad & Tobago) Limited. Other projects have ranged from benefit planning and personalised
counselling, for listed company executives, to debt management for credit union members.
In recent years, The Consulting Interface Limited and a related NGO have been pioneering the teaching
of basic investment and financial concepts to the youth of Trinidad and Tobago. Apart from the country’s National
Financial Literacy Programme, these programmes have been delivered in Hackney, London and in Jamaica under franchise arrangements.
Lloyd is also a senior consultant to The Caribbean Consulting Group where he recently coordinated a comprehensive
individual financial counselling programme for employees of the Caribbean Development Bank in Barbados
arising from a major redesign of their retirement benefits.
He
is a former lecturer and subject head at ROYTEC (a faculty of UWI School of Business and Applied Studies). He
is also a Certified Financial Planner, a Chartered Life Underwriter and a Chartered Financial Consultant, graduating from
The American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, one of America’s oldest educational institutes in financial services.
